Welcome to Sew Thrifty LLC ("Sew Thrifty," "we," "us," or "our").

Sew Thrifty operates an online peer-to-peer marketplace that allows users to buy and sell secondhand fabric and sewing materials. By using our website or services, you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms").

If you do not agree to these Terms, you must stop using Sew Thrifty immediately.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and capable of entering a binding contract to use Sew Thrifty. By creating an account, you confirm you meet these requirements.

2. Account Registration

• You must create an account to buy or sell on Sew Thrifty.
• You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity under your account.
• You agree to provide accurate and current information during registration and to update it as needed.
• We reserve the right to suspend or close accounts that violate these Terms or applicable laws.
• By creating an account, you agree to receive marketing and promotional emails from Sew Thrifty, including newsletters, promotions, and community updates. You may unsubscribe at any time using the link in any marketing email or by contacting us at admin@sewthrifty.com.

3. Marketplace Overview

• Sew Thrifty provides a platform for sewists to connect, list items, and complete transactions.
• We do not own, inspect, or guarantee any items listed on the platform.
• All transactions occur directly between buyers and sellers.

4. Seller Responsibilities

Sellers agree to:

• List only items they own and are authorized to sell.
• Provide accurate descriptions, measurements, and clear photos.
• Ship sold items within the stated time frame.
• Comply with all applicable laws and regulations.
• Resolve buyer issues in good faith.

Prohibited listings include counterfeit items, stolen goods, or any material that violates intellectual property rights.

5. Buyer Responsibilities

Buyers agree to:

• Review listings carefully before purchase.
• Provide accurate shipping information.
• Complete payments only through the Sew Thrifty checkout process.
• Contact the seller promptly for any order issues.

All purchases are made directly with the seller. Sew Thrifty is not responsible for the condition, quality, or delivery of items purchased.

6. Payments and Fees

• All payments are processed securely through Stripe Connect.
• Sellers must complete Stripe onboarding to receive payouts.
• Sew Thrifty collects a marketplace fee from each completed transaction.
• Stripe may also deduct standard payment processing fees.
• Marketplace and processing fees are non-refundable once a transaction is complete.
• Sew Thrifty does not store or have access to full payment information.

7. Shipping and Address Sharing

• To complete a sale, the buyer's name, shipping address, and contact details will be shared with the seller for order fulfillment.
• Sellers may use this information only for shipping-related communication.
• Both parties are responsible for packaging and shipping items securely and on time.

8. Disputes and Refunds

• Sew Thrifty facilitates transactions but is not a party to them.
• Disputes must first be handled directly between buyer and seller.
• If an item is misrepresented or not delivered, Sew Thrifty may, at its discretion, review the case and determine whether to issue a refund or take other action.
• Our decision in such cases is final.
• All sales are otherwise final.

9. Acceptable Use

Users agree not to:

• Use the platform for fraud, harassment, or unlawful activity.
• Interfere with or disrupt the website's functionality.
• Copy, scrape, or misuse any content or data from the site.
• Post false, misleading, or harmful content.

We reserve the right to suspend or remove any user, listing, or transaction that violates these Terms.

10. Intellectual Property

• The Sew Thrifty name, logo, and all related content are owned by Sew Thrifty LLC.
• You may not use our brand, design, or content without written permission.
• By uploading content (photos, listings, reviews), you grant Sew Thrifty a limited, non-exclusive license to display and promote that content on the platform.

11. Platform and Third-Party Services

• Sew Thrifty is built and hosted on Base44, which provides the technology and infrastructure supporting the marketplace.
• Payments are handled through Stripe Connect.
• Email communications and newsletters are sent through Mailchimp.
• By using Sew Thrifty, you also agree to the terms and privacy policies of these service providers.

12. Limitation of Liability

Sew Thrifty provides the platform "as is" and makes no warranties about item quality, accuracy of listings, or uninterrupted access.

To the fullest extent allowed by law, Sew Thrifty LLC and its affiliates are not liable for:

• Any loss, damage, or injury resulting from user interactions or transactions
• Errors, delays, or interruptions in service
• Unauthorized access to user data through third-party systems

Your sole remedy for dissatisfaction with Sew Thrifty is to stop using the platform.

13. Termination

• We may suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these Terms or misuse of the platform.
• You may close your account at any time by contacting admin@sewthrifty.com.
• Upon termination, any remaining obligations for completed transactions still apply.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms periodically. Updated Terms will be posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date. Continued use of Sew Thrifty after updates means you accept the revised Terms.

15. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, USA, without regard to conflict of law principles.

Any disputes will be handled in the appropriate courts of Orange County, Florida.
